Bedford House

The design came through via research of site conditions, paying careful attention to hills and descents. We use these moments to analyze how we can create drama and peace in relation to the hardscapes and volumes. A united home composed of four volumes of different programs that give the changing family dynamic pockets of refuge while still connecting them through the single pitched roof. The roof reads as a sharp and light plane, with no columns, lightness with rain chains that direct the line of sight.
